Ingredients Required
2 large onions (cut into large rounds)1 cup butter1/2 cup cornflour1/2 cup bread crumbs1/2 cup curdChili powder, salt, turmeric – to tasteOlive oil or ghee – a very small amount
Prepare the batterMix the butter, cornflour, salt and spices in a bowl.Add the curd right there and make a batter in which the onions can be dipped.It should not be too thin, not too thick.
Prepare the onion ringsTake round cut pieces of onion.Dip each piece in the batter and then roll in the bread crumbs.Press down lightly so that the bread crumbs coat it.
Fry the shellsHeat some olive oil in a tava or non-stick pan.Place the onion rings there and fry the shells until golden brown on both sides.Flip them carefully so that they do not break.
Can also be bakedWant to avoid excess oil in the air?Then bake the onion rings in the oven at 200°C for 15-20 minutes.Keep flipping once in the middle.
